James L. Muncy, DDS
James Lee Muncy, DDS received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where he played on the UVA baseball team as catcher for 3 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and continued on to the Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. After graduating, in addition to working in private practice, he served for 26 years as an Adjunct Faculty member at the School of Dentistry in the Department of Prosthodontics. In 2015, he was promoted to Assistant Professor and continues teaching to this day. Dr Muncy also worked for the Virginia Department of Public Health for 20 years, providing dental care to children in the public school system in rural areas. He has lived in Virginia since the age of 6 and grew up in nearby Sandston, VA. He has been married to his wife of 29 years, Dr. Beatrice Muncy and they have one daughter. In his free time he enjoys traveling, especially to new places, walking his Norwich Terrier and spending time with his family. Dr Muncy is an active member in his church and has volunteered on the Denture Team at the Mission of Mercy (MOM) Project.
